Links Tally ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile application for tracking golf scores, managing games, and settling bets among friends. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address and password (or third-party sign-in via Apple or Google)
Display name and optional profile photo

Golf & Gameplay Data

Scores, putts, fairways, greens in regulation
Handicap index and GHIN number (optional)
Game types, bet amounts, and settlement history
Group memberships, leagues, and tournaments

Payment Handles

Venmo username, PayPal email, or Zelle phone number (optional, user-provided)
We do not process payments directly or store financial account numbers

Device & Usage Data

Device type, operating system, and app version
Push notification token (for delivering notifications)
Crash reports and error logs (via Sentry)
App usage events (screens viewed, rounds started/completed, sync status)

Location Data

Approximate location used only to find nearby golf courses
Location is not tracked continuously or stored on our servers

Camera & Photos

Camera and photo library access for profile pictures only
Photos are not analyzed or shared with third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide and operate the app (scoring, games, groups, settlements)
Send push notifications (round invites, results, payment confirmations)
Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
Analyze usage patterns to improve features
Communicate important updates about the service

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:

With other players: Your display name, handicap, scores, and game results are visible to members of groups you join.
Payment handles: Your Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle handle is visible to players you owe money to (or who owe you) within a game.
Service providers:Supabase (database & authentication), Sentry (error tracking), Expo (push notifications). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or legal process.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the United States (West US region). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data and data shared within their groups. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently removed from our servers. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your personal data
Export your data in a portable format
Opt out of non-essential data collection
Withdraw consent for push notifications (via device settings)

8. Children's Privacy

Links Tally is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app involves wagering features intended for adults.
